Adding a Shotgun to the tee sheet

  1. For shotgun events, if the event is for a private party, simply block off the tee times for the number of players in the event and block off the tee times in which the course is closed for the event.
    1. For example, if the course has a 72-person shotgun event at 8am, you will need to reserve 18 tee times
    2. For reporting purposes, use something other than “X” in the player slots unless you want those times to report as blocks instead of a reservation.
  2. Next, you will want to block off the course before and after the reservation to ensure that you do not accidentally book a regular group within the event.

If you are wanting to allow online tee times to book into a shotgun event, you will need to build a shotgun template. To do so, you will need to go to the System settings menu and click on the Configure Tee Sheet section.

  1. In the Configure Tee Sheet screen, you will want to first remove any existing tee times that currently exist in the time frame that you are looking to build a shotgun template for.
    1. To do this, select “Delete selected tee times on one or multiple days” in the Operation drop down menu and set the time frame of when you want to delete these times
    2. Use the start/end month, first/last tee time hour, and days of the week fields below and click the “Configure the Tee Sheet” button once finished.
  2. Once you have removed the conflicting tee times, you will then input 1 minute interval tee times within the time-frame of the shotgun.
    1. Please note the system will not allow you to input a range of 1-minute intervals. You will need to manually input 1-minute interval/tee time at a times for the total number of tee times you wish to add.
    2. To do this, you will need to set the time for the “First tee time” and “Last tee time” to the same time. This should be the start time of the shotgun. IE: 8:00am – 8:00am
    3. Press “Configure the Tee Sheet”. Continue this process with each tee time you wish to add to the tee sheet working backwards from the start time. IE 7:59am-7:59am, 7:58am-7:58am
  3. After you have added the 1 minute intervals, you will need to set blocks on the tee sheet for when you need the course cleared for the event.
    1. To highlight the area of the shotgun on the tee sheet, you can also add “Messages on the Tee Sheet” around the shotgun tee times.
    2. Note: the online tee time in GNC will need to be set up to match these 1 minute intervals exactly in order for online bookings to be able to book into these shotgun tee times.
  4. Don’t forget to repeat this process for the back nine if applicable to your facility and event.

Once a shotgun format is built on the tee sheet, you can save the format in a “Tee Sheet Template” to re-use on future days.

  1. To save a tee sheet template, first go to the “system settings” screen and click on the “Configure Tee Sheet” menu.
  2. Next, scroll to the bottom of the Configure Tee Sheet screen and click on the “Tee Sheet Templates” button.
  3. In the Tee Sheet Templates screen, you will need to enter a “Template Name” and the “Template Date” of the calendar day on the tee sheet you wish to save, and then click “Add”.
  4. This will save the template and add it to the list of tee sheet templates above.
  5. When you are ready to copy the template into another day, click on the “Copy Timesheet” button on the bottom of the screen.
  6. Next, in the Copy Tee Sheet screen, select the template that you wish to copy and the date that you wish to copy the template into. If you are wanting to copy all of the data from the template, be sure to check the “Copy Data” box. Then press the “Copy” button to finish the process
