Creating an email with the advanced email editor

  1. Click the menu icon in the top right, choose “Marketing.” 
  2. Next, select “View” under “Campaigns.” You will be taken to the “Campaign Management” screen.
  3. Click the green “Create a new campaign” button in the top right.
  4. Select “One-time” or “Recurring.” Please note, sending recurring campaigns is only available to PLUS clients and courses who utilize GolfNow tee sheet technology.
  5. You will then be taken to the “Campaign Editor” screen. 
  6. Give your campaign a name. This can be the subject line of the campaign, or a reference so you can easily identify the campaign at a later date.
  7. After you select your customers, and if a promotion will be included within this campaign, navigate to the “Email” tab. This is where you will edit your campaign. 
  8. On the “Email” tab, select from the list of templates which will be sorted under each category.
  9. Your template will open within the email editor tool. 
  10. Customize the copy and/or images within the email campaign. Once you are complete either click “Save draft and exit” or “Next step: Text Message.”

Adding content to an existing template

  1. Open a template within the campaign editor tool. 
  2. Click on the “Content” tab on the right side of the screen. This will allow you to add in additional content blocks within your email campaign including Text, Images, Buttons and more. 
  3. Drag and drop the content selection into the email campaign template.
  4. You can now customize your content within the campaign. 

Adding rows to an existing template

  1. Open a template within the campaign editor tool. 
  2. Click on the “Rows” tab on the right side of the screen. These rows will allow you to add more content to the pre-existing template. 
  3. Drag and drop the row selection into the email campaign template.
  4. You can customize the row, content and column background colors from the “Row Properties” section. To access the “Row Properties” section,  click your cursor outside of the row content block (in this example, within the blue area). 

Adding an image or logo to an existing template

  1. Open a template within the campaign editor tool. 
  2. Click on the “Content” tab on the right side of the screen. Select the “Image” block. 
  3. Drag and drop the image selection into the email campaign template.
  4. Click “Browse.”
  5. This will navigate you to the image selection screen. Either select from a previously uploaded image within the My Files (course uploaded library) or Shared folder (stock image library), or upload a new image file to GolfNow Central.
    • If you have selected a previously uploaded image, select “Insert.”
    • If you choose to upload an image, click the “Upload” button. Search for the file on your computer and click “Open.” Select “Insert” on the newly uploaded image. 
  6. Click “Save.”

Replacing an image or logo within an existing template

  1. Open a template within the campaign editor tool. 
  2. Click on the image or logo you want to replace.
  3. The “Content Properties” section will open on the right hand side. Select “Change Image.” 
  4. This will navigate you to the image selection screen. Either select from a previously uploaded image within the My Files or Shared folder, or upload a new image file to GolfNow Central.
    • If you have selected a previously uploaded image, select “Insert.”
    • If you choose to upload an image, click the “Upload” button. Search for the file on your computer and click “Open.” Select “Insert” on the newly uploaded image. 
  5. Click “Save.”

Adding a link to an image, logo or button

  1. Open a template within the campaign editor tool. 
  2. Select the image or button. This will open the “Content” tab on the right side of the screen.  
  3. Navigate to the “ACTION” section of the “Content” tab. There will be a section called “Image link.” You will see a URL field where you will enter in your link for the image.
  4. Click “Save.”

Adding a link within email copy

  1. Open a template within the campaign editor tool. 
  2. Highlight the copy you want to add a link to within your campaign. This will open a tool bar within the text field to edit your email text.  
  3. Click the link icon to add a link.
  4. You will see a URL field where you will enter in your link for the text. 
  5. Edit any additional options and click “Ok.”

Please note, you can also change the “Link Type” which includes the following: URL, E-MAIL, File Manager, Tel or SMS.

Editing an image within the email template

  1. Open a template within the campaign editor tool. 
  2. Click on the image you want to edit.
  3. The “Content Properties” section will open on the right hand side. Select “Apply effects & more.” 
  4. This will navigate you to the photo editor screen.
  5. On this screen, you can complete actions like the following: adding effects to an image, cropping an image, adding text to an image and more.
  6. Once you have finished making your edits, click “Save.”
