Firefox printer settings

Windows 7, 8 and 10

Download the driver

  1. The first thing you’ll need to do to install the printer is download a file that allows it to run on your computer. Download the Driver from the link below. Note, this may take several minutes because the file is very large.
  2. Required Download: Driver. Note: If the installation fails or you are re-installing the driver once you remove the old drive restart your computer.

Install the Driver

  1. Go to the Downloads folder.
  2. Right-click on the tsp100 compressed folder and select Extract All. The extraction should take a few minutes.
  3. When the file extraction is complete, the tsp100 uncompressed folder will open. Right-click on  the first Autorun file in the folder. Select Open.
  4. A Security Warning Window may appear. Click More info and Run anyway. This will launch the TSP100 futurePRNT driver.
  5. Click Installation in the Driver menu.
  6. Read the Installation Agreement and click “I Accept.” A User Account Control pop-up may appear. Select Yes to allow the program to make changes to your computer.
  7. Click Next in the Install Shield Wizard window that appears.
  8. Enter a username and organization on the next screen and click Next.
  9. On the next screen, leave Typical as the installation type and click Next.
  10. Click Install on the next screen. The installation will take a few minutes.
  11. Click Finish when the installation is complete.
  12. Click Exit in the driver installation window.

Find Printer on Network

  1. Go to Start and search for Ethernet Setup Tool.
  2. Select OK to install LAN printer.
  3. Select Search LAN for TSP100LAN. Note: The Ethernet cord must be plugged into the back of the printer and then plugged into a router in order for the IP Address to appear.
  4. Under Printer Info, select TSP143LAN and click Add Printer Queue.
  5. Select Yes.
  6. Select Complete.

Set Printer Device Settings

  1. Go to the Device Settings tab.
  2. Verify that the following settings appear then click OK. Only settings in bold need to be changed from the default:
    • FRICTION: 72mm x Receipt
    • Paper Type: Receipt
    • Page Cut Type: Partial Cut
    • Document Cut Type: Partial Cut
    • Peripheral Unit Type: Cash Drawer
    • Peripheral Unit 1: Document Top

Change G1 Settings

  1. Go to System Settings then Hardware.
  2. Click the pencil icon in the Receipt Printer area.
  3. Set Use Receipt Printer to Yes.
  4. Confirm that Fiscal printer is NOT checked.
  5. Click Save.
  6. Your printer is now ready to use!

Basic Test of Printer Functionality

  1. Before we go any further, let’s test the printer to ensure it is configured properly.
  2. Login to G1.
  3. Go to Orders Tab, select Manage Orders.
  4. Click view icon on any order.
  5. Once you are in the order, select Print Receipt.

Change Firefox settings

For more stylized and better formatted receipts, we recommend printing in Firefox.

Open Firefox.

  1. Go to Menu icon in the top right hand corner of the browser, then Print, then Page Setup.
  2. Go to the Format & Options tab.
  3. Set all options as follows:
    • Orientation: Portrait
    • Scale: 95% or 100%
    • Shrink to fit Page Width: not checked
    • Print Background (colors & images): not checked
  4. Go to the Margins & Header/Footer tab.
  5. Set all options as follows:
    • Top: 0
    • Left: 0
    • Right: 0
    • Bottom: 0
  6. Using the drop-down menus, set all Headers & Footers to –blank–.
  7. Click OK.
