Payments by GOLF Business Solutions PIN pad workflow (iPad)

This document is meant to walk you through the steps of accepting payment via Payments by GOLF Business Solutions PIN pad.

  1. Select the credit card tab from the payments order screen within the G1 App.
  2. Choose the terminal that you will be processing the transaction through on the right hand side of the G1 App.
  3. Once you select the terminal, you will be prompted on the G1 App to “Insert card into chip reader” and the PIN pad will prompt to “Insert or swipe card”.
  4. If the card is a debit card, the customer will be presented with an option to select “Select Payment: Credit, or Debit”.
  5. Upon selecting Credit or Debit, the cardholder will be asked to select a tip option if configured.

 

Customer Selects Debit

  1. If the customer selected Debit, they will be asked to enter in their PIN.
  2. Upon entering a PIN, the card will process and post an approval or declined message.
    1. At this point the card has been charged if approved.
  1. The customer will be prompted to remove the card on the PIN pad.
  2. Within the G1 App, you will be able to print a receipt, and close the order.

 

Customer Selects Credit

  1. After selecting the tip amount, an approval or declined message will appear, and the customer will be prompted to sign for the purchase.
    1. If the customer hits “Cancel”, the transaction will still process.
    2. If the customer provides a signature, selecting the green button will complete the signing process.
    3. At this point the card has been charged if approved.
  2. The customer will be prompted to remove the card.
  3. Within the G1 App, you will be able to print a receipt, and close the order.
